Regressions of the Wayland Driver in Proton 10.0 (mouse acceleration)
10DISCLAIMER: Proton GE now has a version (GE-Proton10-2) which has the acceleration issues fixed (I have not tested it yet)
After the release of Wine 10 3 months ago, a lot of people were waiting for the eventual implementation of the Wayland Driver in Proton 10. However, the official Proton release released without a Wayland Driver. Luckily GloriousEggroll (GE) released Proton GE 10.1, which had the Wayland Driver as an implementation option. That release showed us exactly why Valve chose not to include the Wayland Driver in their version. Mouse acceleration, which was disabled in official Proton versions since 9 (and GE since 8-xx) was now back. That only scratches the possible issues that originated because of the Wayland Driver in Proton 10.
