Remembrances of Games Past, Part #1 - Dune (PC) (1992) (Cryo)
185Cryo's highly original adventure/strategy hybrid based on Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic delivers what is without a doubt one of the most unforgettable gaming experiences I know about. Assuming the role of Paul Atreides, the player travels around Arrakis making alliances, ordering troops and getting equipment while learning more about the mysterious planet and its native inhabitants. In purely technical terms, this 1992 release is quite amazing; featuring advanced pre-rendered 3D sequences, beautiful 2D graphics, a fantastic soundtrack by Stéphane Picq and extensive, high quality voice acting.
This clip includes a short segment of the intro sequence and quite a few minutes from the early part of the game.
