This Remnant of Ner'zhul boss guide will show you the Remnant of Ner'zhul abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Remnant of Ner'zhul fight. Mythic Remnant of Ner'zhul has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Remnant of Ner'zhul guide. Footage of Remnant of Ner'zhul for this boss guide is from PTR raid testing and some mechanics may look different or change when the Sanctum of Domination raid releases on live servers starting July 6th.
The two big mechanics of the Remnant of Ner'zhul fight are Orbs of Torment and Malevolence. To deal with the Orbs of Torment, you first need to break their shell by hitting them with the tank-aimed boss ability Suffering. Once cracked, DPS can focus down the orb, at which point someone needs to pick it up, carry it to the edge and toss it off.
For Malevolence, the raid needs to be a safe distance from the edges. One at a time, players with Malevolence can run to the side, face TOWARDS the edge (NOT back to the edge!) and get dispelled. Aside from that, this fight is just avoiding AOE and killing the boss.
