FIlmed for the crazy elevator enthusiasts on Youtube out there, we have the high-rise zone of the Detroit Marriott at The Renaissance Center, Detroit, Michigan.

Six elevators serve the low-rise (1-40F) part of the hotel as well. You can do an optional transfer at the 40th floor where all elevators meet to go from low to high rise.

These are Otis elevators serving 1, 3, 4, 5, 40 (Hotel's Health Club) and guest rooms 41-70.

Cabs are chamfered squares for the rear corners with an edge rim of black marble, interior of white marble, and walls of medium brown wood. Tiny mirror strips are at the top parts of the cab walls. Top lighting is standard florescent cool white. Panel fixtures are brass and plastic.

Speed is about 5 meters / 16 feet per second but slightly slower for the downward trip.

Sorry don't have much more info than that! They've certainly been installed for awhile though; I'd guess at least 10 years in current form.

Ride varies from very smooth to quite jerky given which of the six you're on and the cab's temperment that day ;)
