The third level of Repton 5, designed by Jonathan (reptongeek), is an ingenious study in the use of propeller blocks, all the normal pushable blocks on the level being of the horizontal-only or vertical-only varieties to ensure that only the propeller blocks can be used to connect the cages.

First, though, comes a fun section with twelve monsters. In the other Repton Infinity games, a falling egg won't kill a monster (it will break above its head as it does above Repton's), and pushing an egg into a monster kills it but doesn't give you any score. In Repton 5, falling eggs will kill monsters (and give you the points) but eggs can't be pushed into monsters. This section would be tedious if all the monsters had to be lured down to the acid pit!

The spirits can be a little tricky to deal with, since the propeller blocks can sometimes daze them, and there's also a danger, when pushing the blocks, of leaving a spirit stranded around an "island" of blocks instead of the outermost wall. However, if a spirit does get dazed or stranded, the technique of "spirit ferrying" (pushing an object along at the same speed the spirit moves) will usually suffice to rescue it. On this level, the vacuum cleaner is a good object to use for this purpose if it proves necessary, and indeed, you can see an accidental case of spirit ferrying when I clean up the bottom row of spikes.
