Save in front of raid location.
Enter raid.
Invite friends in offline mode.
Press Home Button and change system clock one day forward without closing Pokemon.
Reenter game.
Close raid.
Reenter raid to gain 2000 Watts / reset the Pokemon.

You can go to existing raid locations or soft reset for a rare raid for this. Use this to reset for a Pokemon you're looking for.

You can use the watts you grinded out doing this to buy luxury balls to then sell for cash.

To soft reset for a rare raid, simply set text speed to slow, throw a wishing star into a den, and home button reset Pokemon before the game saves if the beam is not purple.
