Resident Evil 2 (2019) Walkthrough Part 1: The City Of Dead (INTRO)
0Well, dear gamers there was another change of plans for the channel so Resident Evil remakes will be recorded ahead of more PS1 games i had planned for this summer. As the video suggests, we'll start with the remake of Resident Evil 2 which i will try to record as a hybrid of Claire A/Leon B scenarios with both scenarios intertwining as story progresses.
About Game: Resident Evil 2 is 2019 third-person survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for PlayStation 4, Windows-based PCs and Xbox One. It is a modern remake and retelling of the original video game of the same name released in 1998 as the second game in the mainline Resident Evil video game series for PS1 with later releases for N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast and PCs. Upon release, it was praised for its atmosphere, graphics, gameplay and for remaining faithful to the original while also expanding some aspects of the story.
Game's story takes place during the night of September 29th, 1998, two months after the events of Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil. It is set in Raccoon City, fictional city located in midwestern United States which is ravaged by the outbreak of T-virus, experimental viral bio-weapon capable of turning any living being it infects into a bloodthirsty monster with majority of the city's populace having been turned into zombie-like creatures that have eliminated nearly all of the initial survivors, having even managed to overwhelm the city's police force. Story follows two people who came to Raccoon City unaware of the chaos within city limits. They are Leon Scott Kennedy, a rookie police officer who arrived to the city after several days of silence from his would-be workplace in the Raccoon City's police force and Claire Redfield, a student who came to the city looking for her older brother Chris, member of the RPD's elite S.T.A.R.S. unit due to his disappearance following his attempt to expose the truth about Mansion Incident that he had survived two months prior. Leon and Claire meet up after Leon saves her life in an zombie-infested gas station and end up separated after a gas tanker explodes following a crash with zombified truck driver, forcing them to go towads a presumed safe haven; city's police station separately. Claire arrives first and quickly realizes that the station is infested as well, eventually meeting another survivor, police lieutenant Marvin Branagh...
