Jack makes his way to car 3, ending up confronted by the ambassador's secretary Phillip Mason who is revealed to have been in cahoots with the terrorists all along. He demands an IC chip in exchange for Christina's life with tense standoff between two being interrupted as one of the hazmat suits in the room comes alive and attacks Mason who manages to defend himself and escape with both Christina and IC chip. Upon checking the suit, Jack finds out that it was the ambassador. Honoring his earlier promise to the ambassador's daughter, Jack gives him her pendant which is revealed to actually be a key for a special vault located in car 4. Within the safe is a disc containing unspecified information which the ambassador plans to use as a negotiating chip with the terrorists with Jack taking the disc and heading towards car 15 to intercept Mason and Christina...
