Jack and Christina separate with Jack heading into car 12 to confront Zugovsky. En route, he is attacked by a flamethrower-wielding terrorist who ambushes him on the train roof with Jack killing him. Upon entering car 12, Jack confronts Zugovsky who has Billy at gunpoint and demands an IC chip from car 5 as well as French ambassador, revealing that he has somehow managed to escape his captors. Upon Jack revealing that he doesn't have an ambassador, Zugovsky shoots Billy and attacks Jack with two engaging in a fight from which Jack emerges victorious, killing Zugovsky. Upon checking on Billy, Jack learns that his bulletproof vest which he found and given to him back in car 7 has deflected the bullet, saving his life. Inquiring about secretary's location, Jack learns that him and the secretary were seprarated. Shortly after reaching car 4 where he was supposed to meet up with Christina, Jack finds her missing and a note instructing him to bring an IC chip to car 3 if he wants her to live...
