Resident Evil 3 (Remake) in VIRTUAL REALITY with motion controls! You won't believe how good it is!
0I can't believe that i'm playing Resident Evil 3 (remake) in virtual reality and you won't believe how good it is!
Very tight graphics, motion controls, and everything perfectly adapted for VR experiences.
I played with my HTC Vive pro & valve index controllers, playing this mod with vive controllers is not always so stable, you can currently experience stable controls with oculus or valve index controllers.

but i'm going to try to explain it in short to you below.
The page also have VR mods available for (with motion control) res 2, 3 & 8 and without motion controls for res 7.
*All you have to do is to download the file for the game you want to play in VR
*Extract the files from the rar files in your resident evil installation folder.
*Start the game and enable window mode.
*then change these graphic/display settings :
-HDR: off
- FPS, gets forced to "Variable" (uncapped)
- Antialiasing, gets forced to "None" if using any TAA variant.
You should either use MSAA or FXAA if you want AA.
- Motion Blur, gets forced to "Off"
- VSync, gets forced to "Off"
- Lens Distortion, gets forced to "Off"
- Lens Flares, gets forced to "Off"
- Volumetric Lighting, gets forced to "Off"
- Screen space reflections sometimes have issues and you might want
these off
- Film grain should be off
*Any other visual settings should be within the limit of your videocard's memory.
*Go to steam and disable the vr theater mode for the game
*start steamVR
*then start the game.
*In game, press 'insert' on your keyboard to open the mod menu & enable First person,
you can also enable first person view for during cutscenes which is awesome but i noticed that sometime's it doesn't show you all characters or details that are supposed to be visible in the cutscenes so keep that in mind.
*Motion controls are activated once you start moving.
List of controls:
-Hold right grip + press right trigger to shoot.
-Hold left grip + press right trigger to use knife
-Tap (might be hold) left trackpad to toggle run/walk mode ( on valve index controllers its tap or hold the left thumbstick )
-Press left trackpad-up to open the inventory and left trackpad-down to close (B button on valve index to open & A button to close both on left controllers)
-Move in the inventory through items with the left trackpad or thumbstick
-Use item from inventory by pressing right trackpad-up or right valve index controller B button
-move pages in your inventory menu to the map and others by pressing the grip buttons
-move over / zoom in and out on the map by using both trackpads/thumbsticks
-In game A button (to open doors, pick up items, etc) is both or one of the trigger buttons
-in game r1 & l1 buttons "should" be the grip buttons but when the game asked to press such buttons i honestly started to press them all to be quick.
I believe that the mod also works on the demo of the game, although when i tried it i didn't changed my video settings of the game to the ones that are required, but the mod menu loaded and i had a view through my headsets, stuck at 500fps but it was a view, perhaps if you don't have the game but you want to see it in VR, it would work if you do everything from the tutorial the same way.
