I know that the Resident Evil 3 Remake didn't go down as well with Capcom aficionados as the RE2 Remake, but I liked it, and I think it's a nice pre-cursor to RE4 Remake.
Resident Evil 4 Remake does have the better graphics, but RE3 does have the start of "Action Horror" gameplay that RE4 really develops, where you're encouraged to aggressively engage enemies with a whole arsenal of weapons at your disposal.
Both are great games, and if you like one you'll definitely like the other!
