Resident Evil 7 - Beginning Hour - Dirty Coin Guide + True End!
5In this video, I will show you all how to achieve the True Ending of Resident Evil 7 while also collecting the dirty coin. If you are still unsure of how to get the dirty coin, this description contains a walkthrough itself.
1 - Collect the fuse from the secret passage in the starting room. Collect this before playing the VHS Tape or else the fuse will not spawn.
2 - Activate the attic stairs, head to the main room of the attic and collect the celluloid hand from behind the TVs as well as the Basement Key on the other side of the room.
3 - Collect the dummy finger from the drawer at the bottom of the stairs and combine it with the celluloid hand to create a pointing hand.
4 - Go down into the basement and collect the attic window key. You must escape the basement without taking damage. You can use the method shown in the video or you can knock the Molded down using the body bag for a short moment.
5 - Once out of the basement, collect the blank notebook from the drawer next to the bathroom. Then head to the front door of the house, collect the Bolt Cutters and open the cupboard with the VHS Tape. Pick up the tape but do not play it.
6 - Head upstairs to the attic and crouch down next to where you found the celluloid hand. You will see a bloody message on the wall. Click on the message and you will hear a giggle.
7 - Head to the first floor of the house, just at the bottom of the main staircase. You will find a bookcase that has fallen over. Move close to it and use the dummy hand. Point the finger of the hand at the bookcase and wait for the static. You have solved the first murder and your notebook will update.
8 - Head back up the attic stairs, this time ignoring the door to your right. Head down the hallway until you reach the boarded up door with a light on the top left. You should hear a giggle. If you do not, look up at the light until you do.
9 - Head down into the basement where you fought the molded. On the opposite side of the room from the door you entered, there is a gurney with a wrapped up body on top. Move close to the gurney and use the dummy hand to point at the body bag. Aim for the head and you will hear static and a gunshot. You have solved the second murder! Your notebook will be updated.
10 - Before leaving the basement, pick up the lockpick at the bottom of the basement steps, on the blue generator. Take the lockpick to the blue kitchen drawer and unlock it to receive an axe. Head to the main staircase and hit the painting of the person with a sack over their head with the axe. This will activate the next giggle.
11 - Move to the small cupboard under the stairs with the hanging dolls and the boarded up door. Go inside and face the boarded up door. Get out your dummy hand and point it at the door. You should hear static. That's your third murder solved and another story added to the notebook.
12 - Outside of the room you solved the third murder in is a dresser. Stand on the door frame facing the dresser and do a 180 degree turn back into the room under the stairs. This should trigger the fourth giggle. This one takes practice, see the video for more details.
13 - Head into the attic's main room and go to the bed, next to where you got the basement key. Look above the bed and you will see two wires, a white wire and a blue wire. Take out the dummy hand and point the finger at where the two wires cross each other. This will trigger the fourth moment of static, solving your next murder. Read the updated notebook and continue on.
14 - Before you leave the attic, go to the black phone you find next to the Umbrella Helicopter picture and use it. Once your character puts the phone down, head back to the basement where you fought the Molded and go to the room where you got the Attic Window Key. On the ground is a doll. Crouch next to it and trigger the final giggle.
15 - Go to the kitchen and head to the pot that you can lift the lid off of. Open the pot, shoo away the cockroaches and get out your trusty dummy hand. Point it at the pot and trigger the final static. Your notebook will update one more time, huzzah!
16 - Finally, head back to the attic and go to the bloody message that started this whole quest. Next to it is a door with bloody handprints all over it. Normally this door would be locked, but we solved all the murders. Open the door and collect your dirty coin from the rocking chair. Climb out of the attic window and you are done.
