Resident Evil: Survivor FINAL Review
0Survivor was an interesting attempt by Capcom to take an arcade on-rails-ish shooter and transform it into a console game. The game builds some intrigue with a non-lazy amnesia storyline that was going places until Capcom decided to burn the entire idea and throw it out the nearest window.
The gameplay style was enjoyable with it being a first-person on-rails shooter sort of hybrid that puts you right into the action while also allowing you to use the perspective to explore and solve puzzles.
Survivor was a spin-off that had quite a lot of potential for a game that ended up being too short to develop the ideas it was going for into something truly spectacular. Another shameful example of wasted potential.
