retro-bit 6-button Sega Genesis USB controller
Update: Exchanged the controller the next day and the replacement works perfectly!
Recently retro-bit released a line of controllers officially licensed by Sega. They've done 6-button Genesis controllers for both original consoles (9-pin) and USB versions for PC, Raspberry pi, Switch etc. They've also recently released these in an 8-button version with L and R triggers and in a Sega Saturn style. Each variation seems to have a clear blue option as well.
I found this in a local game shop and turns out they're selling them cheaper than Amazon so I picked one up as a 2nd controller for my Raspberry pi that just so happens to be in a Mega Drive (Mega pi) case. I also use these on PC from time to time. I bought a similar controller from Hyperkin that cost around the same price several months prior so I'll be comparing that one to this one here.
Hopefully it works great (it didn't!)
