Heres a classic First Person Shooter game from 1997 - Blood 1 which I'm playing in DOSBox with the original CD which I still have. It's a 2.5 Dimensional game using the Build engine (similar to Duke Nukem).
There aren't any additional effects added, this is pretty much what the game looked like when it was new.
Im playing my favourite level E1M4 Dark Carnival.
