Returning to Modded Subnautica (Death Run Mod Playthrough)
Replaying Death Run mod and getting back into learning it. Probably with a more casual mindset and taking it slow and easy. Originally I planned to combine this with the De-Extinction mod but after reading that it's still very busted with spawning excessive amounts of fish I think it's probably better to just do Death Run.
So this will likely be a more casual playthrough re-acquainting myself with Death Run and seeing whether I want to re-learn Death Run to make another (likely futile) attempt at deathless Worse than Death Run settings.
The plan for this run will be Worse than Death Run settings for everything except increased damage which I'll keep at the base Death Run increase of 100%. This will mean Sea Dragon fireballs and being grazed by leviathans (at least with a reinforced diving suit) won't immediately kill me.
I'll also be randomizing my start location as I've got a little too comfortable with the "Won't Be Easy" starting spot. I personally think that's the best spot.
DEATH RUN MOD DETAILS:
* Different starting locations plus the lifepod sinks at your starting place
* Surface air unbreathable (requiring air pumps, brain coral, vehicles, or bases to get more O2) unless we craft an integrated air chip that becomes available after repairing the Aurora
* Nitrogen management and "the bends" (nitrogen buildup can cause damage from ascending too quickly past a safe point)
* Aurora explosion causes a shockwave down to 100m and causes radiation down to 200m
* Fabricators use 3x energy (5x if in radiated areas) and batteries deplete more quickly in radiated areas (and recharging is slower). Basic batteries have 25% the energy of normal batteries.
* Player has a personal crush depth of 200m (Radiation suit boosts it to 500m and other suits even further).
* Several items have alternate/increased costs (i.e. habitat builder requires magnetite to make)
* Scans for most tech increased (i.e. Seamoth requires 20 scans to create)
* Predators are noticeably more aggressive and aggro from further away
* Increased damage taken from all sources (base 100% increased damage)
