REVEALING THE TRUTH | Let's Plat Octopath Traveler 2 - Finale
That was certainly an amazing and worthwhile experience to conclude the game on after everything we have gone through. Not sure what our next new game will be because of space but we still have the Resident Evil 7 - Biohazard alternate ending and the Daughters DLC True Ending at least.
Trophy/Achievement Timestamps
2:24:06 - Master Of Solistia Trophy/Achievement - In order to travel to every location on the map you are going to need to do a few things beforehand. Firstly I recommend finishing all of the character stories. This way you will naturally gain access to a number of different areas and locations and also reduce the amount of backtracking you end up doing throughout. Most of the areas you will revisit or explore completely never needing to return to them afterwards. You will also reach a point in the game where you will be required to purchase a ship in order to traverse the seas and access not only story content but also be able to free roam and collect the remaining locations that can only be reached by free travel at sea. You can purchase the ship for 100,000 leaves from Partitio's Scent Of Commerce side quest in Tropu'hopu. While this is required for the story eventually the majority of the game doesn't require it to reach most of the locations. You will know which paths you have traversed when you see diamonds on the World Map inbetween the areas with different icons. These different icons represent different sorts of locations. Shrines are represented by a set of pillars with a curve under them and enable a character with the specific Primary Job to gain a Divine Skill. The others are dungeons which will assist with gaining additional levels along with extra equipment and essential items needed for side stories and guild licenses. Dungeons are represented by different icons on the World Map based on their environments. There are mountain icons representing mountainous regions, an icon similar to the Shrines except in a diamond shape representing ruinous areas or tombs, an icon with a bridge and an arch representing underground or sewer locations, ship icons that represent shipwrecks which are only found while traversing the sea, areas which involve the story in some fashion have an icon that looks like a multi-tiered area with a door and typically is a temple or tower of some sort. They can also be found within towns or require some sort of gimmick to progress in them. Finally there are forests which are represented by an icon with 3 pine trees. Before you continue onto the Journey For The Dawn and the Epilogue you should make sure to complete every other location on the map. This is because the last location is right before you face the final boss assuming you have visited the remaining ones. You should stop before you finish the main story anyway to avoid being locked out of side content. While exploring these locations would be to your advantage you are not required to complete them and can just enter and leave. Some locations within towns also have the same town icon however they are not considered towns. Keep in mind that there is one instance where a location you have already visited is required a revisit despite them still appearing on the World Map. You will know if a town area has been visited correctly if you are able to fast travel to it from the World Map. So in this instance you visit Frigit Isle as part of the story for Osvald however because you don't get to visit the actual area and can't reaccess the older part you need to return here at a later point which will be after you have completed Osvald's story. So by revisiting the prison you should get the required locations. Finally there is one other location on the World Map that only appears as a diamond icon despite not being a path. You can find this on the eastern side of the map past the whirlpool and to the northeast of ??? Island. The following is a link to the map that I used to identity where each different location is on the World Map:
