0Galdera has been vanquished and the only scary part turned out to be the first phase leading into the second one which turned out well. Now all that is left to be completed is the Journey To The New Dawn which is already shaping up to be interesting with what it seems like it is leading towards.

3:07:02 - Worth The Detour Trophy/Achievement - Side stories are a series of bonus quests that you can do as you travel across Solistia. Typically there will be several of these within each new town that you visit and more of these will unlock as you progress through the game. You will know that you have found a side story when you see an NPC with an orange speech bubble above them. They are also indicated by an orange star on the minimap. Typically side stories require you to use your Path Actions to complete a variety of tasks, finding items or defeating enemies. Some of these can also require you to find or give them items. When completed you will be rewarded with leaves along with several types of items either consumables or equipment. In addition to this there are some side stories that are unlocked after you complete a characters story. You will know that you have started one of these side stories if when you start them there are several voiced cutscenes and they will be based on the next chapter for a certain character. There are 67 side stories in total. Some of them require you to switch between day and night or require the completion of other ones. The following is a list of the side stories and how to unlock and complete them:

When you have finished all side stories you will unlock this trophy/achievement.
3:07:07 - Gate To The Netherworld Trophy/Achievement - Before you can face the netherworldly threat Galdera from the previous game you are going to need to complete a series of side stories related to Al who is a character you are introduced to in your first side story. The location for this side story is determined on which starting traveler you have chosen and he will always be located directly outside of the starting town you start at after completing their first chapter. The side story is also the same and only requires you to give him a Healing Grape. In addition to this you also need to complete 2 more side stories. Procuring Peculiar Tomes requires you to speak to the Unusual Tomb Specialist in Montwise and find 3 books. Dispatches From Beastling Island can be received from the Foreign Traveler in the Beastling Village, The Curious Legend Of The Great Wall can be received from the Archaeologist found on your way to Stormhail in the Southern Stormhail Snow and From The Far Reaches Of Hell can be obtained from a chest in Crackridge after knocking out the NPC guarding a door. The From The Far Reaches Of Hell side story can be activated by talking to Al in the Montwise Library and requires you to glean information from Georges in the Nameless Isle. Once you have completed these side stories you now need to make your way to ??? Island. This will require you to complete Partitio's Scent Of Commerce in Tropu'hopu by purchasing the ship for 100,000 leaves to traverse the seas freely. With the ship available make your way towards the whirlpool on the map. Before you can progress further you need to defeat a boss to gain access to this area. After this the further eastern side of the map will become available to you along with ??? Island. When you explore here you will find the Gate Of Finis and if you have played the original game you will be greeted with a familiar setting. Unlike the previous game however you will not be required to defeat a series of more powerful bosses from the past and instead can jump right into the boss fight if you wish after a few cutscenes and organising your party. In terms of the actual boss fight there is a lot to take in and explain so to wrap your head around it a little easier I have provided a link to the guide that I used to get through it. It details all of the jobs, skills, equipment as well as any other additions you may want to consider before you decide to jump right in to the fight. Level grinding is completely optional and not needed but it will help if you are struggling. There are also probably more methods out there that could be better but each will achieve the same result so experimentation also works too.
