Sup bros! I'm not sure if anybody remembers that layout I made about 2 months ago, but this is the final version of it! MrSupreme is an awesome mobile creator and I'm glad he gave me the opportunity to make the gameplay for this level. He told me to make a layout that was insane demon difficulty, and he said it could either be medium or long length. I took that as a challenge to make a shorter level that was hard enough to be insane demon, and... I think I achieved it? I'll let y'all be the judge of that. I also came up with the name for this level. I called it Script Writer because the gameplay is inspired by Skrypto's gameplay, and the song sounds like an old computer game, so it's like someone is writing the script for it and script sounds like Skrypto and... I've been talking long enough. Let's get into the review!

The deco of this level is a mixed bag for me in all honesty, it does have great atmopshere, colors, and fits the song well, but it falls flat in a few ways. A lot of this level has empty black space which I'm not a huge fan of. The predrop is the biggest proponent of this. Speaking of the predrop, it's probably my least favorite part visuals wise. It relies too heavily on the darkness and flickering structures, without offering much else to look at. This kind of lets it get away with having pretty basic block designs, which aren't terrible but could be much better. However, I do like the flickering structures gimmick. It sort of looks like an old computer screen flickering as it sputters along. The predrop also acts as a nice opener and counterpart to the drop. The drop is definitely my favorite part of this level, especially 31-65%. The rotating glow beams that follow the player create a nice sense of urgency and contrast the background and blocks in a pleasing way. The background is the most impressive component here, I love when creators experiment with layering effects and it looks fantastic here. Again, the block designs aren't anything special, but they're more passable here than in the predrop because they're less empty looking. The subtle movements of the structures and saws tie the drop together, and it wouldn't have the same feel without them. As for 65-100%, it's just ok. More interesting than the predrop, but there's still not much going on. The block designs here are the best in the level so far, they kind of remind me of durianhead's designs like in his level elo2. The wavy pulses in these blocks and saws that also change the color of them are really smooth and a nice touch. The pixel formations in the background are a little lazy, but at least they fill some empty space. The only other thing to note is the effect at the very end of the level that has the blocks turn white and break and fade away from each other. That effect makes completing this level so much more satisfying, and I just love to look at it. Overall this level is just ok in my opinion. Nothing special and it doesn't offer much, but what it does offer is clean and some pretty nice eye candy. This deserves a star rate, but nothing more.

As for the gameplay, since I made it I won't comment on it much. I do believe it's very fun, yet it is very technical. You have to do exactly what it wants. In other words, there isn't much leeway, but that's exactly what I was going for. I think it's enjoyable to pull off, and I recommend you try this level out. Hope you enjoyed this review, and I'll see you in the next one!
