Review: Chained Echoes | RPG Masterpiece
7Chained Echoes is a triumph of RPG design and a masterpiece in the genre. Developed by a solo indie developer, Matthias Linda, the game is set on the continent of Valandis and follows a group of nobles, thieves, and mercenaries who work together to prevent war.
The game excels in its open environment design, balanced pacing, and dynamic turn-based combat system. The exploration aspect of the game is where it truly shines with a vast world filled with unique environments and creatures.
The turn-based battle system features a range of enemies and challenging boss battles. There are also a tonne of systems at play, a deep crafting system, a player progression system, skill trees, and character customization. The game world is rich and immersive, and the soundtrack is top-notch. The story is amazing but there is a lot to read, with time and patience this might be your next favorite RPG.
