Here's a mini-series I am doing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of my favorite childhood PC games: "Richard Scarry's Busytown!" Here I will be comparing the original 1993 MS-DOS version (which I had as a kid back in the 90s) with its' enhanced 1999 remake.
Just in time for Fire Prevention Month, here's an installment covering the Fire Station, featuring Smokey the Firefighter showing how a fire engine is used, and saving the Cat Family from a house fire! But one of the kids is different in both, and Lowly doesn't get to do much in either version.
I still find it unusual how all the firefighters in Busytown are pigs. Is it some kind of requirement? Are they not allowed to have cat or rabbit firefighters or anything?
