Rick Plays Death Stranding (PC): Episode 3 - Fragile
0Had to delete the first uploaf of this; it just wouldn't render to 2160p60. This one hasn't either, but I want to get it out there. Maybe you'll see it at 2160p60, maybe you won't. It's already been going for two days and I decided not to divide it into two videos.

This one was another long edit. Another 12 + hours of footage down to something that is a bit over three hours.
Not sure how I feel about the sped-up gameplay segments; let me know what you think. I might do two versions of my next video; one with the sped-up gameplay intact, and another with it removed entirely.
At the time of this upload, I am playing through Episode 6. Episodes 4 and 5 were not nearly as long as this one, so they will be released at the same time as this video. I'm also going to do a set of lore videos to show all of the mail and interviews that you can only read via text; those will be divided up by episodes to avoid spoilers.
My thoughts on the game so far? I'm digging the story, graphics, music, and feel of the world, but I'm tired of schlepping cargo around on foot, and I couldn't care less about building and maintaining roads and structures; it's just too tedious for me. Gather materials, bring them to a place, build, repeat; it's a gameplay loop that doesn't interest me.
I mostly skip the combat; trying to fight with a man-sized tower of cargo on your back is annoying, and if you take too many hits, you drop it all and have to pick it up. And your reward for winning is usually just the option to now pick up MORE cargo and materials, and depending on what you're already packing, you may not have room.
It's a pretty cool open-world experience; just walking or driving around and taking it all in is pretty nice. You will get your money's worth in that regard.
If you're looking to capture the experience of playing the game, without the tedious parts, this is for you! No loading screens, tedious pause menus or management screens; just gameplay highlights plus all dialogue and cutscenes. Gameplay footage that is non-essential to the story has been included, but is sped up to 50x normal speed and has had the sound removed.
