Rave Racer (1995) Vs Ridge Racer 7 (2006) - How does yesterday's arcade technology stand up to today's consoles? let's compare.

Here we have the same track, Seaside Route 765, from the original Ridge Racer, played on Rave Racer running on Viva Nonno system 22 emulator and Ridge Racer 7 on PS3. In fairness, this isn't really a true comparison as there are graphical elements missing from the emulated version of Rave Racer and my video capture has slightly murdered the graphical quality of RR7 by downgrading it to scart quality (honestly, in full 1080 HD it really does look the tits). And yeah, my driving sucks in the video, it's not intended to be a record breaking lap time or anything, just purely for demonstration.

Edit: Not long after making this I found out you can actually change the default player car in Rave Racer by going into the test menu. There's actually a red Namco car which looks far more 'Ridge Racer-ery' than the shitty blue Derota one. D'oh, wish I'd known that beforehand.
