The Priorities system in Rimworld is incredibly important, it makes sure your pawns do the important tasks first like patching up the wounded before less important tasks like milking the cows. Having a decent framework or system allows you to specialise pawns that need to be specialised and use your more all round pawns to fill in the blanks. Keeping cleaning and hauling tasks at a universal level allows you to quickly prioritise these tasks when necessary. Limiting the use of level 1 priorities also allows you to crank up the importance of jobs like construction or planting when large amounts of that task need to be completed quickly, while also allowing you to return everyone's priorities to there pre emergency level with just one click.
