RISE OF THE REDS 1.87 - Russian Mission 2, Black Ice [C&C Generals Zero Hour]
215Rise Of The Reds 1.87 for Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour is the PUBLIC beta available for everyone. All you have to do is to register at SWR Forums, find Rise Of The Reds 1.87 subforums and download it. It needs both previously installed Rise Of The Reds 1.85 and 1.86. Mod works of course only when your C&C Generals Zero Hour is patched up to 1.04 version of the game. And no, please don't ask me how to install it or where to find the 1.87, I simply don't care and I don't want to be your caretaker. The second mission in this mappack is a typical Covert Ops strike force objective. At the beginning of the mission you have access to the Tschmell and Shock Troopers. The first objective is to destroy the American AirBase to the north, you have 6 ingame minutes to do so. You should equip at least one of the Shock Troopers with the Tesla Cannon to short circuit the incoming vehicles. Tschmell troopers are the long ranged flamethrowers, they can clean the garrisoned buildings from the occupiers. When you are in the proximity of Patriots, use the secondary ability of Smoke Missile to distract their fire (very helpful). You must enter the Airbase from the backdoor and destroy the Cold Fusion Reactors first, then focus on other buildings. A little bit later you will get some Shock Troopers and two Tesla Tanks, look at them wisely. Tesla Tanks are fantastic choice, they can fire on the move, their damage output is high and their range is quite big. Once you free the prisoners from the base, your task is to destroy all the Reactors in the Naval Base. Send SEALs inside but you must destroy them almost simultaneously, being too slow means a mission failure.
As for the campaign missions
You must place each map in a specified folder in your Documents /Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data/Maps/ directory. Then in the game, take skirmish and choose UNOFFICIAL MAPS.
