Rob Plays "Smash T.V." (C64)
6A play (with review/commentary) of the C64 conversion of "Smash T.V." which was converted from the Williams arcade game by Probe, and released by Ocean in 1991.
Despite being a bit of a late title, I was lucky enough to play this back in the day (and in fact, even luckier to have played the arcade game itself rather recently).
But this one is quite a fun conversion - whilst it's really only missing the two player option, it does come with the ability to use two joysticks to emulate the twin stick controls (which I didn't use here).
Plus, the fact the developers were able to pull off the amount of action they did with little slowdown (it's there, but rather infrequent), certainly shows how they were able to extract a lot out of the C64's power at this stage in its lifecycle.
One certainly worth checking out if you ask me :)
