A quick race (including the qualifying session) in Revs Plus, the 1987 upgrade to Geoff Crammond's Formula 3 simulator (as published by Firebird). This gameplay footage was captured under emulation with VICE 2.4 running on Mac OS X.

In an era surrounded by simplistic arcade racers, Revs stands out for being the first proper racing simulator on a home computer (back when it was originally released for the BBC Micro in 1984). This edition includes some driving aids to improve playability for those learning the ropes, along with support for standard C64 joysticks, along with 4 extra tracks.

One to absolutely check out if you're a racing sim fan, and want to see how some one of the shining early examples of the genre. Plus, it's also quite the challenge to get to grips with - even with the added steering aids ;)
