A brief play (with commentary) of the USA Conversion of Sega's After Burner on the C64, developed by Weebee Games, and published by Sega themselves in 1989.

Note that whilst this is designed for the (slightly) faster NTSC C64, this video was recorded from the game running under an emulated PAL C64. Thus, the gameplay and audio is slightly slower than it would be if run on its intended hardware.

That being said, this conversion is much more improved over the PAL version, with much nicer graphics and music, combined with a lot more polish compared to the PAL version.

Plus, it goes against the typical rule of thumb when it comes to different PAL/NTSC conversions of games. Typically, the PAL version is the better one - better optimised, and by developers who really pushed the hardware. With After Burner, it's the NTSC version which got the attention... which isn't surprising, as it's by a UK-based team if I remember correctly :)
