Despite having a number of acting credits and roles under their collective belts, actors Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans are (and probably always will be) best known for their roles as Iron Man and Captain America in the MCU. Their Marvel journey has spanned over a decade with their two characters fighting alongside one another in ‘The Avengers’, fighting against each other in ‘Civil War’ and after the events of ‘Endgame’ the two characters who are so intrinsically linked seemed to even bow out together. Their roles as these superheroes and being part of a massive franchise has made the two actors forever synonymous with one another. Not only do the pair have a sizzling on-screen chemistry, but a deep respect and admiration for each other behind the scenes - and they are forever will be part of a super exclusive family.

But their paths to the MCU and The Avengers were far from simple and in fact were pretty unconventional. Both of their paths were very different. Robert Downey Jr had it all, lost it badly and then worked his way back up again. Chris Evans had nothing, struggled to work his way up and get roles he wanted and suffered before finally his perseverance paid off. Their back stories though and these different roads they travelled are what make them perfect for their parts. In this Documentary we will take a look at their unlikely journeys, how they built their success and how their lives became forever intertwined.
