It'd been a while since I'd done a console game, at least as a main stream, so I decided it was high time I played through this game. A game that I hadn't played in ages, and never actually finished. I really only bought it because of the whole "Collector's Edition" stuff. Which, I admit, I'm a sucker for buying them. But whatever. And right away, I'm not really enjoying this game. It's a bit of a slog, levels too long, too many enemies, and then some really bad design choices. A defense mission where enemies spawn in already damaging the thing you're trying to defend. Controls are a bit wonky, given the age of the title. And the icing on the cake is a three part mission, where the third part is "search for a downed pilot" that AUTOMATICALLY FAILS if you search in the wrong direction, making you redo the whole mission. You're supposed to look for him, but you apparently need to already know where he is. A search mission that punishes you for searching. And not even a "you're going the wrong way", just automatic fail. A whole new low bar in game design. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
