Rocket Arena - Tutorial & First 3 Games #DeadGame
Rocket Arena is an online-only third-person shooter (It was first-person shooter during its beta). It was released on July 14, 2020. (The same day of Need For Speed World's 5th anniversary of getting permanently shut down)
Rocket Arena is a fun little game. It's a mix of Overwatch, Super Smash Bros., and Battlefield Heroes. (I remember I said this game looks like Overwatch when I saw the reveal trailer in EA Play 2020. lol)
The game has cross-play, meaning players can play against players playing from PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
It has 3v3 Social matches (a.k.a. Casual matches), 3v3 Ranked matches, Private matches, and Practice.
Social matches has four game modes while Ranked matches has three game modes.
Both of them have Knockout (Get 20 points by knocking out opponents to win), Mega Rocket (Capture 5 rockets to win), and Rocketball (Score 5 goals to win). My favourite is Rocketball game mode as I don't have to focus as much on shooting. lol XD
Exclusive to Social matches is Treasure Hunt (Collect coins to win).
I only played Ranked matches. I never played Social matches yet. lol
Private matches are invite-only of social matches and Practice is training.
Unfortunately, this game is dead on arrival.
The $40 CAD price tag pushed many potential players away. Not to mention the microtransactions in the game upon spending $40.
This is basically a free-to-play game having a buy-to-play pricing model.
On Steam charts, Rocket Arena couldn't even reach 1,000 on launch day.

Rocket Arena will not last very long.
It will go free-to-play some day and then eventually get permanently shut down.
This is based off EA's track record of permanently shutting down games.
I do not recommend buying this game at $40 CAD, let alone buying this game at all.
Rocket Arena relies on a healthy playerbase. Without it, the game is literally unplayable.
Try it out when it becomes free-to-play eventually.
