Rockman EXE Phantom of Network - IceManSP S Rank
This folder setup can easily get the 30 second S Rank on IceManSP by exploiting as much electricity weakness as possible. This video has the sub-10 second S rank that I managed to get with a little bit of chip luck. Despite the game not giving any special benefits on such a fast time, it felt good pulling it off with such a stupid strategy.
A lot of the information I used came from The Rockman EXE Zone as it's the best English language source for the mobile phone Mega Man Battle Network games.
Skill Editor notes
GhstAntn is there for getting the IceManSP fight more consistently. 2 Custom1 chips are slotted in for more folder consistency. FirstBarrier gave initial defense and UnderShirt is filler.
Chip Folder notes
This is a 3 code chip folder revolving around getting IceStage out as soon as possible to double the potency of elec chips for that quadruple damage. The codes used are I, J, & S codes.
-FstGauge U is the Regular chip set since I still haven't obtained the * code from post game.
-I code was for IceStage and Satelit2. IceStage is the primary chip for the folder to get the damage kicked into high gear, though RNG could still mean that it doesn't always show up early. I could have bought a couple more to mitigate that.
-J code has Satelit1 and the Jamming Man series of chips. Jamming Man's chip sends an electric ball in a wave pattern that passes through every tile it meets. This can guarantee a hit on IceManSP as well as break the defensive ice blocks he can summon. I intentionally stuck with just the first two levels of the Jamming Man chips to mimic what someone might reasonably have if they haven't got S ranks on JammingManSP yet. I only had Satelit1 J chip since it's a 6-7 rank reward and I never bothered to get more.
-S code is for ZapRing1 and Satelit3. Both are elec chips and ZapRing1 allows for easier hits with Satelit3. Both also come in Q code but Satelit3 Q is a 6-7 rank reward and RNG never gave me any of them even with collect on. Satelit3 also hits like a truck so multiplying that damage is nuts.
-AreaGrab* and PanlGrab * are kind of a double edged sword. They let the Satelit chips require less travel time but also gives IceManSP more odds to summon ice cubes that block said chips.
-The rest of the folder has * code chips for filler.
Boss AI notes
IceManSP moves to adjacent squares so he's kind of easy to catch with Satelit chips. The main issue is that he can summon ice blocks when next to an arena border, blocking thrown satellites. The Jamming Man chips shoot an electric ball that passes through all tiles so they can both hit IceManSP and break any ice blocks. The other attacks are two slow moving ice waves that go forward and an ice elemental cross bomb which are both easily avoidable. A pretty easy S rank with any decent chip folders with a plan.
