Rockman X7 Playthrough: Cyber Field (Snipe Anteator)
0This stage certainly has some bice idea's behind it though the single shape layout of the floor is somthing that irritates me slightly but at least it makes some sense here, in terms of stage gimicks there are walls you need to use Axel's copy shot to get past certain walls which seems a lot less intrusive than the way it's handled in Deep Forest partly due to the enemy needed not requiring an age to copy and having some sort of movement making it at least usable until it runs out. The second part of the level adds a maze like element with semi-transparant walls that are gotten around by jumping on orange tiles to go to the ceiling, the controls take a little getting used to and it's a decent gimmick that doesn't outstay it's welcome, one thing to note is that if you know the correct path this is one of the shortest stages in the game.
The Boss for this stage is Snipe Anteator who has a simple premise and slowly adds to what he does as his health drops starting with a sprial of energy that gets smaller as it travels then a bombardment of ant shaped mines followed by Large missiles that home in on your location and finally little flying laser funnels that are a nightmare to avoid and seem to start moving wildly after a time all this combined with his rapid movment when hit makes a damage race typically unfavourable unless he's fought late though it should be noted that X's charged shot seems to traval through the clear tube to some existent making him the perfect pick if you have him unlocked
