Rolling Line Ep. 23 (Pt. 1) - Introducing Charlotte The Steam Engine
Normally I don't look at two maps in one video, but today I decided to do just that. This is the debut appearance of my custom character, made in the style of a Thomas & Friends engine. Her name is Charlotte, and she is available on Steam Workshop.
The video starts with a look at a map called Small American Map, which was made by jbarter2013. One thing that surprises me about this layout - and the Didsbury Loop - is just how much detail and track there is in such a small space. This layout already had the Canadian National engine (by [YT]CAMOGUY54321™) on the track, so I decided to drive it around the layout. After reversing the engine back into the siding, I brought out Charlotte and Frieda for a mini-photoshoot (for want of a better term). I decided to keep the recording going while I uploaded Charlotte (and her tender) to the Workshop.
And once all that polava was over and done with, it was time to move to a different layout. I thought I would return to Sarf's Layout for Charlotte's first run, which was at the front of Frieda and Rosie's excursion train, with the Crescent Limited and Rio Grande steamers on the other end (made by DeathRowTull and deathtokick respectively). Unfortunately this run didn't go without a hitch, as all the vehicles in the train somehow glitched through each other just before I went through the last tunnel before the station. Once this mess was sorted out, I switched to the Rio Grande end and drove into the big station, where the default and Bayhopper DX's were sitting. Then it was back to the station where I started the run, but for some reason the Rio Grande engine was uncoupled from the train, which I didn't realise until the train was approaching the same tunnel where the massive glitch happened.
Part 2 is the rescue mission, which makes use of the Pink Floyd DX.
