Ronin's Retrocade Walkthrough - Legend of Zelda (NES) Episode #1: A Boy, a Sword and a Dragon
Welcome back to the Retrocade and the first part of our revisitation to one of THE most influential and well-loved games of all-time, the 1987 classic that launched both a franchise and a genre - the original Legend of Zelda!
In the 35 years since its release, few games have had the impact of this relatively unassuming story of a boy named Link and his first attempt to save both Hyrule and Princess Zelda from the clutches of the evil Ganon.
It's one of the first video games I ever beat as a child, and little did I know back then that it was my first exposure to what we now call 'open-world' gaming.
And as it's been nearly 20 years since I last played it, I figured let's see if my both my memory and nostalgia remain as strong as they once were, while we battle octorocks, tektites, darknuts and more in our quest to reforge the Triforce of Wisdom!
