Ronin's Retrocade Walkthrough: Metal Gear (MSX/NES) Episode #1 - Infiltrating Outer Heaven
0Our second full-scale playthrough is underway as we go back to 1987-88 and revisit Hideo Kojima's original masterpiece 'Metal Gear'!
The game that introduced the world to the term 'Tactical Espionage Action', Metal Gear was ahead of its time in multiple ways, but thanks to Konami and their inability to work with Kojima, American gamers like me couldn't play the game as originally created.
It wouldn't be until 2005 that we got the game as it was originally designed, thanks to being a bonus feature on the special "Subsistence' edition of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater!
Still challenging, still interesting and still worth a revisit almost 25 years later, Metal Gear stands as both one of my favorite games and franchises of all time!
