Rotary Autocannon Build for XL Engines - Shadowhawk SHD-5M - Mechwarrior Online The Daily Dose #288
408Rotary Autocannons are very fun weapons. Their constant stream of bullets cause massive cockpit shake and a solid amount of damage over time.
Using dual RAC5 in a single side torso sadly comes with the need of a standard engine which is not the best option for Medium Mechs like the Shadowhawk. But if you mix the Autocannons and take a RAC2 and a RAC5 combined you have enough slots left in your side torso to load an XL-Engine. Of course you lose a bit of DPS but the build is still viable. For today's Daily Dose I use the Shadowhawk SHD-5M because it has 2 energy hardpoints in the arm which I filled with 2 Medium Lasers as backup. All the other multi-ballistic variants are a bit low on these hardpoints and have to rely completly on the rotary autocannons.
