Dear Diary: the night caps off with what turned out to be a pretty darned neat session in Split/Second, one of the longest ever untouched games in the backlog. I bought this game when it launched; I think with Blur, which was another unconventional racing games on the PS3. And I have not so much as ever booted it up to play since then. And there are still others like it in my rainy day game collection. Neat.
This game is not as much fun as Blur overall, but it is still very solid. Funny that it was developed by Disney Game Studios, which is now, of course, closed. If this was their last game (I'm not sure that is the case), then this was a good farewell. What I love about it is the ability to entirely change the game and everyone's position in the race on a moment's notice if you can power up and set off the power breaker.
Unbelievably, you can can see at the end of the video, that people still place this online!!! Remarkable. Although, I lost ground at the outset of the race and was never able to catch up. Next time, gentlemen. Next time.
