Dear Diary: hopefully people watching this video will cut me some slack and acknowledge that this is the part of the My Gaming Diary experiment (chronicling my life and times as a gamer), where I am trying to lock down the best methodology for recording my sessions playing on the 3DS XL. It will likely apply (I hope) to the Nintendo Switch, as well, when I play on that platform in tablet mode. At any rate this is yet another attempt to improve upon the mini-tripod mount method that I have typically used. I had thought that using an action cam (couldn't afford a GoPro, so I went with a Contour ROAM3) mounted on a head harness would be the best, but the results are less than what I had hoped for. I'll continue trying to work this out. In the meantime, the gameplay session on Mario Kart 7 was excellent because I did not have a camera in between my arms and me and the 3DS. But I guess we can't have everything.
