Even though this starts off saying this is a tutorial, it is actually a DEMO of the functionality and the explanation of how it is built will come next. This DEMO covers 12 D&D style methods of randomly rolling attributes.

Also, there is a thread on RPGMAKERWEB.COM (forums) that gives results of my experiments with these different methods and shows averages of the results using sets of 100 and 1000 rolls. The results might not be surprising for some people who are friends with math, but they were surprising for me. Here is a link to that thread.
