RPG Maker MZ Tutorial: Sudoku Puzzle EXPLAINED FINISHED!
2This will be a multiple part tutorial to explain how to recreate the Sudoku puzzle that was highlighted in a previous DEMO. I also made a few updates since that DEMO. The player can choose from 3 default puzzles (Easy, Medium, Hard) or choose to select their own hints for the puzzles with multiple amounts of hints to choose from. There is also a Timer, Score, and Bonus or Penalty. There are 7 total Events using 186 Switches, 110 Variables, and 83 Common Events. Almost 99 Show Pictures are also used. This game only requires 2 default plugins that come with MZ: TextPicture and ButtonPicture. Both of these are plugins that I have highlighted before in previous tutorials.
The Eventing for this puzzle isn't particularly hard, but it is a lot of copying and pasting and attention to detail to change the necessary Switches, Variable, Pictures, pixel coordinates, and values.
This Part 5 concludes with the Events for the Reset Button, the Timer, and the Score and Bonus/Penalty options. This should be everything. If anyone discovers that I missed any part of any page in any Event, please let me know and I will fix it.
