RPG Maker MZ Tutorial: Turn-Based Movement Experiments Explained - Part 1 - Pictures & Pixels
I am breaking up the Tutorial Explanation for the Turn-Based Movement Experiments into two parts: Picture Movement Using Pixels and Event Movement. I think there are a lot of concepts here that can help people who are learning what they can do with Events in MZ.
This longer first part shows a variety of experiments with moving pictures for turn-based movement. This is part of my exploration of making a turn-based combat system. This shows menu driven choices, using keyboard arrows, using 8 directional arrows on the map, movement limited by speed, ending movement early, resetting movement to start over, collision detection, etc. So basically I started small by trying to move pictures and then just kept experimenting and adding things. This still requires a lot more experimentation.
Part 2 will be posted later and focus solely on Moving Events.
