RPG Maker MZ Tutorial: Disarm Trap Jumbled Hint - PART 1
Part 1 of a tutorial showing what the player sees in the game (and also showing one of my testing versions of the Event where I make the game tell me exactly what is happening at each step of the Event) for a mechanic of disarming a trap using a jumbled hint. I started with a simple Event as I tested the initial functionality and then kept adding to the Event as I tested each piece. I show the final version (so far) which includes inspecting the trap, casting a spell, a restriction on multiple spell casting, the ability to leave and come back but the Event remembers both the trap and hint, the choice of reinspecting with a penalty, and the lack of penalty for reinspecting if you have gained a level. Plus more! This relies heavily on the use or Arrays. If you have any questions or need help, just leave a comment.
