How's it going everyone, in this special request RPG Maker MV tutorial we take a look at how to recreate Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI style of summon creatures. Where you summon them the party disappears the summon uses a skill and disappears, then the party comes back. This method will be using Photoshop, but you can use gimp or several other free options. We take enemy art, resize it and carefully place it inside of a 960x960 animation png, set our grid to 96x96, and place each piece of art inside a 192x192 slice using free transform. Once we have that file updated and saved in the img/animations folder we edit a new animation sequence in the built in animation editor inside RPG Maker MV. Once we get a good looking animation we attach it to an action sequence using Yanfly's YEP_ActSeqPack(s), and build the skill. Finally we award that skill to a class and test them out. (We actually do all the testing at the beginning to save time and put the showing part at the beginning of the video.) I hope you find this video helpful in some way, as always thanks for watching! :)
