This is the official fix for the WinIO error some people are seeing when trying to launch Rust. It appears the winio driver is causing an issue with easy anti cheat and prevents rust from running.

If you see "Please close WinIO before starting the game" when launching Rust try following these steps in this video.

1. Ensure you do no have any external devices plugged in or software running that may use the WinIO driver.
2. Close Rust and open Windows CMD (command line) as administrator.
3. Run: sc query winio64
4. Run: sc stop winio64
5. Relaunch Rust

May work for other games using EAC as well.
