Immediately after talking to Owl about "The Hit", he offers follow-up mission called "The Transaction". This is the second part to what is a multiple choice and outcome scenario depending on the Achievements you are seeking. As mentioned before, once you take "The Hit" from Sultan, if you warn Beard about the attack then Beard will later give you "The Transaction" mission to help the Stalkers attack Morgan trading with the Bandits. You do this to get the "Friend of Stalkers" Achievement.

If you don't warn Beard and Knuckles and his men succeed, Sultan will give you "The Transaction" mission to help the Bandits meeting with Morgan. You do this to get the "Boss" Achievement. If Knuckles and his men are defeated in "The Hit" then Owl will offer "The Transaction" mission if you are working towards the "Man of Balance" Achievement. That is my goal in this Game.

I had thought I could wait until sunrise/daylight to do "The Transaction" but when I attempted that, I got a message saying it had failed. So, I went back to an earlier save after taking the mission and rushed up to the Forestry to meet Morgan. Morgan is a Dutyer accompanied by two Mercenaries, but like Colonel Skull in Shadow of Chernobyl, he has gone renegade and is operating illegally behind Duty's back. Morgan is selling stolen Duty weapons, armors and other supplies to whoever will do business with him. In this case it is meeting the Bandits and trading Artifacts for his stolen goods. If Knuckles and his crew had survived it would be them. If Spartacus and his crew survived "The Hit", they would be surprising Morgan. Both crews do not require each leader, only that all the other members are random names.

In this example I have two choices when it comes to Owl's mission in "The Transaction" when dealing with Morgan. I can participate and protect Morgan, since once the mission goes down with its surprise attack, all three parties no longer trust each other, and you are fighting both the Stalkers and Bandits to accomplish the goal. To get the best reward from Morgan, you do this. The other choice is what I like best. That is to do nothing and hide immediately when it goes down. Why? I don't want to kill any Stalkers ( like I did with Tuna ) or kill any Bandits ( this is much harder later in the Game ) just to protect a dirtbag like Morgan.

This means since it is like 5 Bandits and 5-7 Stalkers against Morgan and 2 Mercenaries, it is a difficult to achieve this outcome. That's like 10-12 against 3 and even though Morgan in an exoskeleton is hard to kill, the odds are against him. For this reason, I chose to each time Morgan was killed, to reload the meeting just prior to the Bandits arrival. I think on the 5th or 6th time; I got the result I wanted. Morgan was the only one to survive which meant a lot of loot for me but NO reward from Morgan since he was furious, I did not help out.

Since most people want to help the Stalkers and get the "Friend of Stalkers" Achievement, this is not a common path to take. Likewise people may choose the opposite of that and get the "Boss" Achievement in helping out the Bandits. Both of those choices end with the death of Morgan if successful, which means Morgan dies at the Ranger Station in Zaton and you recover his needed PDA there. Morgan's PDA is needed by Duty to get the "Friend of Duty" Achievement, or it is needed by Freedom to get the "Friend of Freedom" Achievement. You give Morgan's PDA to Owl if you are wanting the "Man of Balance" Achievement.

Taking "The Transaction" mission from Owl is the most rewarding for one simple reason. If Morgan survives "The Transaction", he will leave Zaton and go to Jupiter. In fact, if the Player goes to Jupiter afterwards, Morgan will appear at the same time and will walk into Yanov Station right ahead of you. If you choose the right dialogue options when talking to Morgan at Yanov Station, he will hire two different Mercenary squads to assassinate you. Upon defeating them and choosing to take a sniper rifle as a bribe, he will arrange for you to meet him at his hidden bunker in a circle of trailers and equipment just east of Yanov Station. Of course, you should expect another ambush. These additional scenarios are what makes Morgan going to Jupiter so rewarding, in addition to finding his stolen Dutyer stash. I just personally find it amusing in making Morgan so mad at every step.
