It's 1:30am as I step out into the night, using my green night vision. I watch a Flesh being chased by a Bloodsucker, and its cloaking shape shines occasionally for me to be able to barely track it. I decided to leave them alone, and I go along the train tracks around the Cooling Tower where I find the two-man Duty squad I had left earlier. Continuing on, I head towards the train tunnel where I hear the cry of a Controller attack.

I get there just in time to help out. Continual respawns of the Controller here are expected as dead Controllers litter the cavern. There are also dead Duty and Freedom about as both Factions will spawn here too. I think about waiting for the next Controller to appear, but I change my mind and soon head off to the south going through the buried Kopachy Village.

That plan is cut short by an Emission arriving and my PDA shows me that the nearest shelter is back at the train tunnel. I might have been able to rush southward to Volkhov but the thought of fighting an unexpected Burer or Chimera, among a horde of lesser mutants, made that an unsafe option. After the Emission I go back to Yanov Station with my load of loot.

A little after 4am. I'm on the main road going to the Cement Plant. As I get to the base of the tower, I hear a gunfight with my mini-map showing me a neutral Faction fighting Zombies. I get to the top too late to help, only to find a lone Freedom survivor. I use him for fast travel to the Ventilation Complex and he departs back to where I found him, while I go over to the Helicopter pad to shoot some mutants.

Going westward I'm soon back at the Container Yard to find some new Bandit spawns. Without me being there to follow, two of the Bandits have taken position in the former locations of the original Container Yard guards, while two others start following me. As I get near the rear of the Container Yard, Shishak and his crew go on-line but this time I hear gunfire. I rush back there seeing two white dots on my Mini-map and to my surprise when I arrive on the scene, I find two dead Dutyers. Soon the two Bandits that had been following me enter and then the two Bandits that had taken postions at the front moved to take new positions directly on top of the dead Dutyers, I realize that the Game had spawned the Dutyers in positions that should have been Bandits. That's why the Dutyers were instantly killed. That was literally a Spawn of Death.

I leave the Container Yard and go eastward across the small pond, and the two Bandits follow me a little bit until I guess I get out of the boundary area, and they run back. I go north along the tracks until I come across Duty and Freedom fighting in the bushes south-west of the Anomaly Train. Now loaded with even more loot, I follow the surviving Dutyer over to the Parking Lot where he engages some Zombies, but we are helped by some Loners coming from the north. I take advantage of using the Loners for fast travel back to Yanov Station.

I've come to realize that there is nothing more to really do in Zaton and Jupiter. I'm just killing time putting of the inevitable. I need to progress my Game and the only way to do that is to undertake the Pripyat Underground. Do I dread it? Yes, I do. Why? If I was going alone, it would not be a problem. That's something I have never ever chosen to do before, and I might someday. However, the part that I dread is the extreme difficulty of keeping everyone in the group alive. You can't control the bad decisions of your fellow NPCs to take risks and get killed. I need all my party alive to get them to Pripyat and for the best possible ending in the Evacuation and Game epilogue.
