Picking up right where the last video left off, I'm at the Bar inside the Skadovsk just enjoying a nice quiet evening. I go outside and immediately I'm detected by a mutant that turns out to be a Chimera I'm soon on the roof shooting at. It runs off towards the Taras Shevchenko. I go to the other side of the ship and find a couple of Zombies among the Flesh.

I kill them and jump down to finish off the Flesh and loot the Zombies. From there I hunt down the one that escaped, and I soon find myself going north using night vision to the hill where the Game starts. I soon meet a squad of Loners who have no place to go but I ask for fast travel to the Iron Forest.

In previous Games, repeated trips to the Iron Forest, I discovered that the vault door, that you normally need a card to open, would slowly crack open until it got wide enough to go inside. However, in this Game, after playing for a month, I have not seen it budge an inch. I checked it and then turned around to catch up with the squad that had brought me there. As mentioned before, not all of the squad had started moving yet, only the squad leader had taken off.

I had to try to talk to one of the Loners in a trance and soon he was walking to catch up, but the other Loner was being scooted forward by the action. I went up to him and got punched. Now both were moving. I went ahead and found the squad leader. I asked him where he was going and strangely, he gave no answer and did not tell me anything. Out of curiosity, I agreed to go along knowing that all 4 of us would go along for the ride.

However, that did not happen. The screen went black for a mere second and then we were right back where I asked. I suddenly realized I had lost all keyboard commands, lost the mini-map, lost my HUD and weapons. I could not even hit the escape key or do anything but pause. I heard the other Loners shooting their weapons and was hoping their arrival would get the squad leader to snap out of it. That did not happen as they never came, and I realized they had been killed by mutants.

Soon the 4 Flesh arrived and walked right up to us and killed the squad leader. I could not move, I could not fight, I could not do anything but watch the Flesh attack me, wound me but not be able to kill me. They just kept pushing me along until I guess I got stuck against something and they gave up and went into a huddle. I stop recording and used Control-Alt-Delete to stop my Game.

I guess the lesson here is never to agree to go to a location that is not specified. Otherwise, it will be your Final Destination.
