S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #133: They Only Come Out at Night
Picking up right where the last video ended, I'm on the Skadovsk and the sun is going down but I decide to leave it and head south, finding no one aboard the Taras Shevchenko. From there I spot a campfire to the south-east, on the hill above Noah's barge. As mentioned before, a campfire is always a sign of habitation. This time of evening, most like Bandits or Zombies. I found Bandits here, and notice as soon as I arrive, they extinguish their campfire and decide to follow me.
However, following me has its limits of terrain they can climb, natural paths they walk and the speed of which I may get ahead of them and make them go off-line. I end up at the Waste Processing Station and I remember where an open stash is I have not yet found in this Game. The sun goes down and I switch to night vision. I meet some Bandits at the upper level of the Scar Anomaly and some Zombies at the lower level.
I cross the water to check out some mutants on the lower bridge span when an Emission hits and I go to the Ranger Station for shelter. Notice how the Bandits spawn in place at 20:10 right in front of me, which the Game will sometimes do, which can be exciting if they are enemies. Afterward, I go back to the bridge to kill the mutants and look for open stashes and have difficulty going up the ladder to the top and fall, but to luckily catch the edge.
I know there's another stash among the rocks on the other side but not exactly which ones, as I search many before finding it. This next part is very important at 28:10, how to use the demo_record feature to retrieve a piece of a stash that is wedged in the rock, and I could not get otherwise. You have to get every piece of an open stash to get credit for finding it. From there I hunt down some dogs and I'm soon back at the Waste Processing Station with more Bandits, more Zombies at the Scar Anomaly and more mutants before finally returning to the Skadovsk a few hours before dawn.
