I returned to Jupiter and found myself at Yanov Station when all the squads were departing to go out into the Zone. I fast traveled to the Concrete Bath Anomaly and found some Zombies inside the smaller Jupiter Plant compound. Going eastward I met a Duty mutant hunting party at the helicopter pad. The Container Yard was empty of anyone in the front area and the Monolith were all okay when I checked on them.

Going back westward, I spotted 3 Zombies going south near the train tracks and after killing and looting them, I turned northward and found more Zombies at the parking Lot. North of that I heard gunfire and saw someone fighting mutants in the bushes and I heard the dreadful sound of an enraged Controller.

I thought I could move in quickly hiding in the bushes. and sneak up on the Controller after equipping the proper artifact and taking the Psy-block drugs but that didn't work as well as I hoped and turned out to be a terribly bad idea. The NPC I was trying to rescue was killed and I was soon swarmed with rodents, as the Controller got me in the grip of his mind pull. It's a wonder I was able to fight them off, shake the disorientation and get away far enough to kill the Controller from a distance. All I could find of the Loner was a scoped AN-94 and I have no idea if it was a Loner or a Dutyer. The mutants must have eaten every bit of him. Soon I was back safe at Yanov Station.
